This facility is used to refurbish the exterior of their locomotives. It was designed to bring in the locomotives where they were shop blasted, brought down to bear metal, primed, painted and then finish detailed and rolling out the other end. This project involved significant amounts of ducting, trenching, sub-surface conveyor and material transfer areas for the shop and to contain the fumes during the painting. This was a turnkey project involving all phases of construction including installation of paint booth and ventilation bag house and filter systems provided by US Filter.
